Ripping through

Ripping Through is a collaborative work created with Felipe Delgado, capturing the moment pressure beneath the surface can no longer be contained.

A saturated pink exterior forms a textured barrier — controlled, almost composed. But that surface fractures. Three deliberate tears move vertically through the piece, revealing the raw black-and-white abstraction beneath. The contrast is immediate. Structured exterior. Unfiltered interior.

The rip is not damage. It is exposure.

What lies underneath is layered, gestural, instinctive. Drips and intersecting lines create movement and tension, amplifying the sense that something powerful has forced its way forward. The more the surface attempts control, the more undeniable the emergence becomes.
